Marietta Martial Arts helped in my daughter's development and it’s also given her a lot of confidence. She is a much better girl now. Her attention span is a lot better and I think she’s even doing better in school with the values that Marietta Martial Arts has taught her.
Sally Waters on 3/26/2015 7:58:04 PM
My daughter would attend MMA six days a week if possible. Her desire to learn, progress, and push through difficulties I believe has greatly improved since she began Tae Kwon Do. It has been worth the investment of time and money.

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
We open the door in 2003 and have grown over the years in the Marietta area serving three locations.
What is your primary product or service?
We use the kicking & punching in Karate to have fun but more importantly, we use the fun to develop FOCUS and to improve self-Confidence. Instructors emphases that students always do their best. Providing your Best Effort when trying something new is more important than having good technique.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have always wanted to own my own business. My journey started in 1987 when I began my first martial arts class in Orlando, FL. Once I completed my MBA from the University of Texas, I worked as a CPA in the Houston, TX area. I moved to the Marietta area early in 2000 and by 2003, I was able to put the two passions together - martial arts and business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
All classes are taught with age appropriate techniques. Generally, kids age 4 and older are very successful in developing the Future Black Belt Behavior (Respect, Focus, Self-discipline) which is taught in every class. Adult classes are taught separate from the kids, so parents can also train.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 3 locations in the Marietta area. Currently, we are planning to open the four location but not until we can find the right people to our instructor team.
Provide detailed directions to your location

Our main location is in the East Lake shopping center on Roswell Rd. We're between Marshal's and The Wing (formally Wild Wings).
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept most of the regular payments - checks, visa, master card
Which areas do you service?
Most of our Students live within a few miles of our locations. Two of locations are located in east Cobb while the third location is just across the boarder to Roswell & Marietta.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
My name is Bill Wendell and I am the owner of Marietta Martial Arts.
What are your hours of operation?
My wife would say our hours are 24/7 but in reality it's Monday through Saturday. Someone is usually at the school as early as10am and we close up around 7pm.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliment anyone can give us is when they refer their friends to us (Marietta Martial Arts). We realize that when someone refers their friends, then that person has placed a tremendous amount of trust in MMA and we value that trust.
