How long have you been in business?
Dr. Levinson has been taking care of animals since 1983. She established ARKLE Veterinary Care in 1987 as a mobile house-call practice. ARKLE Veterinary Care has been at the present location since January 2000.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide medical and surgical preventative and therapeutic care for dogs and cats and pet health education for their owners.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I grew up here in Smyrna, and as a young child was always taking in stray animals, trying to fix injured wildlife and trying to learn as much as I could about how to keep my "friends" healthy. It was inevitable to every one around me that I would become a vet, even though I wasn't sure until I worked in veterinary clinics as an assistant.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We believe in the importance of individuals, both pet owners and animals. We value our clients as friends, and treat their pets as though they were our own. We strive to make people and their pets feel valued, welcomed and comfortable at our clinic.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location and one full time veterinarian. There are no current plans to expand the building, but we are always adding in new equipment and new skills to do our job better. Rarely, there may be a different veterinarian if Dr. Levinson needs to be out of the office.

We are located on Concord Rd. between South Cobb Dr. and Atlanta Rd. If you are traveling south on Atlanta Road, turn right onto Concord Road and travel 0.8 miles. We will be on your left. If you are traveling south on South Cobb Drive, turn left onto Concord Road and travel 0.4 miles. We will be on your right.
